NPFL: Kun Khalifat FC Coach Osigwe Blames Players for Matchday 17 Defeat to Abia Warriors
Kun Khalifat FC technical adviser Emmanuel Osigwe has held his players responsible following the club’s defeat to Abia Warriors in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 17 fixture.
Reacting after the game, Osigwe expressed disappointment with his team’s execution, insisting that the players failed to follow tactical instructions throughout the encounter.
“My players got it wrong because they were not playing to instructions,” Osigwe stated in a post-match interview.
The Kun Khalifat FC coach also pointed to poor ball control and decision-making as key factors that cost his side during the match.
“There were a lot of misplaced passes from my players, they will learn from the mistakes and improve on the performance in subsequent matches.”
Following the result, Kun Khalifat FC sit 18th on the NPFL standings with 17 points, leaving the team under pressure as they look to improve their performances and climb away from the relegation zone in the coming weeks.
