NPFL: Kennedy Boboye Identifies Lack of Quality Strikers as League Problem Following Ikorodu City Defeat

Bendel Insurance head coach Kennedy Boboye believes the shortage of quality strikers remains a major concern in the Nigerian domestic league.

His comments came after Bendel Insurance picked up a 2-1 win over Ikorodu City in an entertaining NPFL Matchday Five encounter in Benin.

The hosts created plenty of opportunities during the game, finishing with 20 attempts and nine shots on target. However, Boboye believes his side’s attacking play could be more effective with better finishers available.

Reflecting on the performance after the final whistle, the Bendel Insurance coach highlighted the wider issue facing teams in the domestic league.

“We don’t actually have quality strikers in the league,” Boboye said.
