NPFL: Kano Pillars Close to Reappointing Salisu Yusuf as Technical Adviser
Kano Pillars are reportedly close to reappointing experienced coach Salisu Yusuf as the club's new technical adviser ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
The former Super Eagles assistant coach is expected to return for a second spell with the Sai Masu Gida after previously managing the club during the 2021/22 campaign.
The move comes as Kano Pillars look to begin a new chapter following an underwhelming 2025/26 season, with the club keen to rebuild under a familiar and experienced manager.
Yusuf recently left Benin Republic outfit Coton Sport after both parties mutually agreed to end their partnership at the conclusion of the season. During his time with the club, he guided Coton Sport to a second-place finish in the Championnat National du Bénin, securing qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup.
