NPFL: Ikorodu City Beat Rangers 2-0 to End Winless Run

Ikorodu City secured a 2-0 victory over Rangers International at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Sunday in Matchday Six of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Aderemi Adeoye gave the Lagos-based side the lead in the eighth minute, putting Ikorodu City in front early in the encounter.

Ikechukwu Junior doubled the advantage in the 63rd minute as Ikorodu City completed a convincing 2-0 win.

The victory ends Ikorodu City's three-match winless run and gives them their second win of the season.

Ikorodu City will now turn their attention to their next fixture, with a Lagos derby against Sporting Lagos scheduled for September 30.

For Rangers International, the defeat brings an end to their impressive start to the campaign as they suffered their first NPFL loss of the season.

Rangers will look to bounce back when they face Warri Wolves on September 30.
