NPFL: Gbenga Ogunbote Frustrated as Plateau United Drop Points at Home Again Against Warri Wolves
Plateau United head coach Gbenga Ogunbote admitted his frustration after his side dropped points at home again in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) match against Warri Wolves on Sunday.
Ogunbote said his players were anxious in attack and hurried their chances instead of making the right decisions in front of the goal.
“I think it's an unfortunate one. There was a lot of anxiety among my boys, they were trying everything hurriedly to score, but unfortunately we got it all wrong. This is another home draw and it's a big setback for us,” he said.
The draw leaves Plateau United needing to improve their home form quickly to get their NPFL season back on track, with Ogunbote hoping for a stronger response next time out.
Despite the setback, Plateau United sit sixth on the Nigeria Premier Football League table with 16 points from 11 matches. Ogunbote will hope his players respond positively in their next fixture as they look to improve their form and maintain their position in the league.
