NPFL: Finidi George Satisfied as Rivers United Hold Ranchers Bees to Draw

Rivers United technical adviser Finidi George believes his side can be pleased with the point they picked up against Ranchers Bees in Monday’s Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 6 encounter.

The Port Harcourt-based club played out a goalless draw with Ranchers Bees at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano, extending their unbeaten start to the NPFL season.

Finidi acknowledged the difficulty of playing away from home and felt the result was a valuable one for his team.

“It is a good point,” Finidi said during his interaction with the media after the game.

“This is a place where it is very difficult to even pick a point. I thought they were ahead of us in the first half, but we came out better in the second half."

The draw keeps Rivers United unbeaten in the league, with Finidi now turning his attention to another away fixture.

Rivers United will return to action on Wednesday when they face Katsina United in a rescheduled NPFL fixture at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium.
