NPFL: Finidi George Praises Rivers United After Hard-Fought Win Over Plateau United

Rivers United technical adviser Finidi George has voiced his satisfaction with his team’s performance following their narrow victory over Plateau United in the Nigeria Professional Football League.

The Port Harcourt-based side climbed back to the top of the table after securing a 1-0 win against Gbenga Ogunbote’s Plateau United in a Matchday 34 clash at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium on Sunday.

Speaking after the match, Finidi described the result as a controlled and relatively comfortable outing for his team.

“We didn’t suffer much; it was a game that we controlled properly, not too much stress at the back. We didn’t create much too,” Finidi told the club’s media after the game.

“If you look at the overall performance of the team, it was a good one. We are quite happy with the performance and the victory.”

Attention now turns to their next fixture, as Rivers United prepare to face Kano Pillars this weekend.
