Enugu Rangers have emerged champions of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League season after defeating Ikorodu City 2-1 in a tense final-day encounter at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena.

The victory secured the league title for Rangers and marked another major achievement for coach Fidelis Ilechukwu, who guided the club to their second NPFL triumph within three seasons.

Team captain Chidiebere Nwobodo delivered a standout performance by scoring twice to put Rangers in control of the contest. His first goal arrived in the opening half before he added another shortly after the restart to strengthen the visitors’ advantage.
