Ekene Awazie is set to bring an end to his four-year stay at Enyimba, with the midfielder confirming he will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of the month.
The former Enyimba player has decided against extending his deal with the nine-time Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions, paving the way for a new chapter in his career.
Speaking about his future, Awazie revealed that his time with the People's Elephant is coming to an end after several memorable seasons in Aba.
“I will leave Enyimba when my contract expires at the end of this month,” Awazie told extrasports.
During his spell at the club, the midfielder made 112 league appearances, scoring 13 goals and providing six assists.
