NPFL: Doma United Technical Adviser Ayeni Ayodeji Unfazed by Defeat to Nasarawa United

Doma United Technical Adviser Ayeni Ayodeji has dismissed the defeat to Nasarawa United, saying it won't derail his team's push in the league.

Ayeni admitted his side didn't play as well as expected, but he said losing is just part of the game. According to him, the league is a long race, and what matters for coaches is understanding why you lost and fixing it.

"There is no big deal at all about it. That is football for you, and the league is a marathon anyway. You win some, and you lose some, but the rationale behind losing is what we, the coaches, look into and work on. We lost, and we will get prepared for our next home game so that we can be able to keep our tempo going.”

He also admitted that a few issues affected his team's performance, though he didn't think it was a completely poor display.

“We performed below expectations because this is not the way we've been playing, due to some little issues which I'm going to address when I get back to the hotel. But aside from that, it is not a bad game, and we will still keep the tempo going at the table.”

Ayeni added that his mind is already on the next home game, where his team will look to bounce back and keep the momentum going.
