NPFL Confirms Simultaneous Kick-Offs for Final Matchdays of 2025/26 Season

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has officially announced that all fixtures for Matchday 37 and Matchday 38 of the 2025/26 season will kick off simultaneously across all venues.

According to the league organisers, every game in the final two rounds of the campaign will begin at exactly 4:00 PM Nigerian time as the season reaches its decisive stage.

The NPFL explained that the decision was made to maintain sporting fairness and protect the integrity of the competition, especially with the title race, continental qualification spots, and relegation battle all still active heading into the closing weeks of the season.

League officials also stated that simultaneous kick-offs will help prevent clubs from gaining any potential advantage by knowing results from other matches before their own games are completed.

In addition, clubs have been instructed to confirm their approved home venues ahead of the fixtures. The NPFL warned that any team failing to do so could have a venue assigned by the league authorities.
