NPFL Champions Set to Earn Record ₦1 Billion Prize Money in 2026/27 Season

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) is set to enter a new era after officials confirmed a record-breaking prize fund for the 2026/27 season.

According to a joint announcement by the National Sports Commission (NSC) and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the league champions will receive an unprecedented ₦1 billion in prize money.

The runners-up will be awarded ₦500 million, while the team that finishes third will take home ₦300 million.
