NPFL: Bendel Insurance Ends Barau FC's Unbeaten Run With 4-1 Win

Bendel Insurance ended Barau FC's unbeaten start to the 2026/27 NPFL season with a dominant 4-1 win on Matchday 7.

Kayode Oke inspired the home side, opening the scoring in the 33rd minute before completing his brace in the 78th minute. Aliyu Sugau pulled one back for Barau FC from the penalty spot in the 82nd minute, but Bendel hit back immediately to restore their advantage.

Suraju Lawal made it 3-1 in the 86th minute before Jonathan James sealed the victory for the home team in the 94th minute.

The defeat ends Barau's impressive unbeaten start to the campaign. They will now look to bounce back when they host Rangers International on October 11 in front of their home fans.
