NPFL: Barau FC Assistant Coach Eugene Agagbe Believes Team Lost to Remo Stars Due to Lack of Concentration
Barau FC assistant coach Eugene Agagbe has stated that his team lost to Remo Stars because of a lapse in concentration during their 2-0 defeat at the Moshood Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta.
Speaking to the club’s media, Agagbe acknowledged that mistakes in the early minutes of the game contributed to the loss but praised his players for their overall effort. He also assured fans that the team is committed to working hard and returning to winning ways in their upcoming matches.
Agagbe told Barau FC Media, “Normally, games are lost and won sometimes when you don't get it right. We have let this match go, because we can’t reverse the incident; we are going to work hard and win our other game at home.”
He further explained, “The players lost concentration, and they were not focused in the early minutes of the game. The players were slow, which made us concede.”
Barau FC are currently struggling in the relegation zone, sitting 19th on the league table with 13 points from 13 games. Their next challenge comes against Kwara United, where they will look to secure a crucial win to improve their standing.
