The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has barred Niger Tornadoes from using the Bako Kontagora Stadium in Minna as a venue for their home matches.
According to the league body, the decision was taken after an assessment of the stadium revealed that it does not meet the NPFL’s updated guidelines on broadcast and television rights requirements. These standards are part of the league’s ongoing efforts to improve match production quality and enhance the viewing experience for fans.
As a result of the ruling, Niger Tornadoes have been directed to relocate their home games to an approved alternative venue. The club has been given two options: the Rashidi Yekini Mainbowl Stadium in Ilorin or the New Jos Stadium in Jos.
