NPFL: Abia Warriors Beat Bendel Insurance 3-0 to Bounce Back From Defeat

Abia Warriors responded strongly to their Matchday Five defeat to Barau with a convincing 3-0 victory over Bendel Insurance on Sunday at the Umuahia Township Stadium in Matchday Six of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Ikoi Etta opened the scoring in the 16th minute before Emeka Obioma doubled Abia Warriors' advantage eight minutes later.

Obioma completed his brace in the 40th minute as Abia Warriors went into the break with a comfortable 3-0 lead.

The victory gives the Abia Warriors their second win of the season and provides a quick response to their previous defeat. They will now turn their attention to their next fixture against Rangers International.

For Bendel Insurance, the defeat is their third loss of the season. The Benin-based side will now look to bounce back when they face Barau on October 4.
