Premier League club Nottingham Forest has completed the loan signing of midfielder Giovanni Reyna from Borussia Dortmund, as announced on the club's official social media channels.

Additionally, as announced by Borussia Dortmund, the player has signed a contract with the club until June 2026. Reyna has been immediately loaned out until the end of the current season. Nottingham Forest does not have the option to purchase the American midfielder.

Recall that Reyna joined Borussia Dortmund's youth team in the summer of 2019. In September 2019, head coach Lucien Favre included him in the club's squad for the UEFA Champions League 2019/20. On December 7, 2019, he was included in Borussia's squad for a Bundesliga match against Fortuna Düsseldorf but remained on the bench.

In early 2020, Reyna was promoted to the first team. He made his Bundesliga debut on January 18, 2020, in a match against Augsburg, coming on as a substitute in the 72nd minute. At the age of 17 years and 66 days, he became the youngest American to play in the German top-flight.
