On Thursday, March 7th, Milan hosted Slavia Prague at their home ground in the UEFA Europa League Round of 16.

The Italian team started the match better and more actively, and midway through the first half, luck returned to them. In the 26th minute, a defender from the Czech team received a red card and was sent off the field. Eight minutes later, Milan opened the scoring thanks to a goal from French striker Olivier Giroud. However, two minutes later, Slavia equalized, courtesy of a goal from Douděra.

Milan didn't lose their composure and scored two more goals towards the end of the first half. Firstly, Tidjani Reinders put the Italians ahead, and two minutes later, Ruben Loftus-Cheek made it 3-1.

In the second half, despite playing with a numerical disadvantage, the Czech team managed to reduce the deficit again. In the 65th minute, Ivan Schranz found the back of the net. It seemed that the match was heading for a calm ending with a score of 3-2, but in the final minutes, Christian Pulisic scored the fourth goal, sealing the match.

Milan secured a hard-fought victory in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League Round of 16 with a score of 4-2.
