Not only Nigeria: Benin suffered the same fate in Libya

After a week of problems suffered by the Super Eagles at the Libyan airport, the captain of the Benin national team (Steve Mounie) complained and expressed his displeasure with the treatment he and his teammates were subjected to in Libya when they traveled this week to play the final matches of the qualifiers against Libya, which ended in a goalless draw.
Four weeks after the incident of the Nigerian national team at the airport, the Benin national team was subjected to bad treatment from fans after the match in Libya, where fans attacked members of the Benin team. Benin's coach was also injured as a result of this attack and received treatment on the team bus.
“It wasn't easy. It was a real war zone. This Libyan team, this country and its supporters did not respect us at the beginning of the match. They whistled the national anthem, and we made it personal.” Steve Mounie said after the match.
