Not needed by Maresca. Chelsea to list towering centre-back for transfer
Chelsea appears set to part ways with Benoît Badiashile in the upcoming winter transfer window—a somewhat surprising decision, given that the club paid AS Monaco €38 million for his transfer just a year ago.
Details: Despite high expectations placed on the 23-year-old defender, his playing time at Stamford Bridge has noticeably diminished. Badiashile has made only seven appearances this season, fueling speculation of a potential January exit. Clubs in France's Ligue 1 are reportedly interested, and Chelsea is prepared to entertain offers. This is reported by TeamTalk.
However, given his limited minutes and current market conditions, the English club will likely need to accept a financial loss on any transfer. Yet, with further time on the sidelines, Badiashile's value could depreciate even more if he continues to miss out on match selections.
