Harry Kane may have won the 2026 Ballon d'Or, but one of his former Tottenham teammates believes another footballer was even more impressive! Harry Winks has surprisingly named Belgian midfielder Mousa Dembele as the greatest player he has ever shared the pitch with.

Details: Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Winks was asked whether Kane was the best teammate of his career. The former Tottenham midfielder instead selected Dembele, praising the Belgian's extraordinary technical ability and influence on his development. Winks made it clear that his admiration for Kane remains enormous.

Winks spent many years at Tottenham alongside both stars. Kane established himself as one of Europe's most prolific strikers, while Dembele earned widespread admiration for his remarkable ball control, strength and ability to escape pressure in midfield.

Interestingly, this is not the first time Winks has expressed such admiration. During his Tottenham career, he publicly praised Dembele's power, speed and technique. The Belgian was widely regarded as one of the Premier League's most technically gifted midfielders.

Winks now represents Cagliari in Italy, where he has reflected on his football journey and the teammates who shaped his career. Although Kane recently claimed football's biggest individual award, Winks' choice highlights the lasting impression Dembele made on those who watched him up close.

Reminder: Harry Kane recently won the 2026 Ballon d'Or, becoming the first English winner since 2001.
