Former Brighton head coach Roberto De Zerbi, who has been linked with several top clubs, has found a new position.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Italian manager is in the final stages of negotiations with Marseille. The club and the coach have agreed on a three-year contract, with only the final details left to discuss.
Additionally, Marseille needs to pay Brighton €6 million in compensation. This amount was agreed upon by De Zerbi and Brighton when he negotiated his departure from the club.
Last season, Marseille finished only eighth in Ligue 1. Throughout the season, they were managed by three different coaches: Marcelino García Toral, Gennaro Gattuso, and Jean-Louis Gasset.
Prior to his tenure at Brighton, De Zerbi managed Shakhtar Donetsk and Sassuolo.
