Not a match: South African defender Ime Okona will not join Dynamo Kyiv
South African central defender Ime Okona underwent a trial this winter with the Ukrainian club Dynamo Kyiv. It has now been confirmed whether he will play for the new team.
Details: According to TaToTake, the Ukrainian club has definitively decided against signing Okona. The South African center-back has completed his trial with Dynamo. The coaching staff concluded that Ime Okona is not stronger than the current players in the squad.
The 20-year-old Okona is a key player for South African Premier Division side SuperSport United and is also a candidate for the national teams of South Africa and Nigeria (he is eligible to choose between them). In his professional career, Okona has played 41 matches and scored one goal.
Reminder: Sean Moghaila of Sekhukhune United, responsible for a fatal accident, has turned himself in to the police. He suffered a minor bruise on his forehead as a result of the incident.
