Nobody Is Better Than Me – Okocha Fires Back at Arteta

Super Eagles legend Jay-Jay Okocha has responded to comments made by Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, who recently said he could not choose between Okocha and former Barcelona star Ronaldinho. Arteta, who played with both men at Paris Saint-Germain, praised their skills, but Okocha insists that “I can’t say anybody is better than me…”, backing himself as the ultimate flair player.

Speaking to Clutch 9, the former Nigeria captain said he had embraced his reputation as “Chief Flair Officer”, while admitting that Ronaldinho was also special. Okocha described the Brazilian as “a genius when it comes to football…”, adding that his talent was clear from the moment he arrived in Europe.

He explained that both players shared a street-football background and bonded at PSG, playing together briefly before Okocha left for Bolton later.
