Noble Gesture: Harden Donates Significant Sum to Support Homeless Families Feeding Initiative
Basketball superstar James Harden is widely recognized for his incredible skills on the court, but Clippers fans aren't the only ones grateful for the point guard. He's also known for his noble deeds off the court.
Details: According to DailyMail.com, the 35-year-old player stepped in to save a fundraising event aimed at feeding homeless families in Los Angeles that was on the verge of being canceled after a major sponsor pulled out at the last minute.
To rescue the charity event, Harden donated $41,000 from his own savings.
Quote: “I was proud to step in at the last hour to support Kidzcon and Project Pop Drop, a nonprofit organization dedicated to feeding homeless families and youth. Food insecurity is a significant part of the work I do through my Impact13 foundation.
My team and I strive to make a positive impact in communities that need it the most,” said Harden.
Recall: This isn't Harden's first act of generosity; in 2019, he gave $10,000 to a needy family while on vacation.
