No transfer? Atlético star in talks over a new contract

Julián Álvarez has become a true leader and one of Atlético Madrid’s biggest stars, attracting interest from several top clubs, but it now appears he has no intention of leaving anytime soon.

Details: according to Matteo Moretto, Julián Álvarez and his family are very happy with life in Madrid. The Argentine forward is currently in talks with the club over a contract extension. No other club has approached Atlético regarding the striker. If he wanted to leave, he would have to make that clear himself.

In the summer of 2024, Julián asked Manchester City’s hierarchy to sell him. He refused to sign a new contract with the club and was unhappy with his lack of playing time. On August 12, 2024, Álvarez signed a six-year deal with Atlético Madrid.
