The FA Cup semi-finals took place on April 25 and 26. Both matches were hosted by the legendary Wembley, and it was the tournament favorites who advanced to the final, denying the underdogs any chance of a shock upset.
Manchester City pulled off a come-from-behind victory against Southampton, turning the match around in the closing minutes—thanks in no small part to a moment of brilliance from Nico González. In the other semi-final, Chelsea overcame Leeds, with Enzo Fernández netting the only goal of the game.
As a result, Chelsea and Manchester City will face off for the trophy. The Citizens have reached the final for the fourth consecutive time, but they lost the last two and their most recent triumph dates back to 2023.
Chelsea, on the other hand, haven’t lifted the FA Cup since 2018, though they made it to the final three times since then—in 2020, 2021, and 2022.
