Zamalek SC has confirmed that first-team winger Ahmed Sayed “Zizo” appeared before the club’s legal committee on Saturday following his referral for disciplinary investigation.

Prolonged Absence and Controversial Comments

Zizo had been absent from training and matches for nearly 25 days, starting April 9, during which he also made public statements viewed as damaging to the club’s image. In response, Zamalek president Hussein Labib and the board initiated a formal inquiry.

Legal Twist Adds Fuel

The athlete and his attorney, Ashraf Abdel Aziz, showed up for the session on time. Tensions increased, though, when the attorney shared a happy selfie of herself with Zizo on Facebook. This action sparked more controversy and harsh criticism from followers.

The club has yet to announce any sanctions, but the incident adds to the growing friction between the player and Zamalek’s management.
