Morocco midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi has insisted he has no regrets about representing the Atlas Lions, despite their elimination from the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The 18-year-old made his feelings clear after Morocco's 2-0 quarterfinal defeat to France, saying he remains proud of the decision to switch his international allegiance.

"No regrets whatsoever. There's absolutely no regret at having chosen Morocco," Bouaddi said after the loss against France. "I always said that it was a choice from the heart, and I'm very proud to represent Morocco, regardless of what happens.

Bouaddi was born in France to Moroccan parents, making him eligible to represent either country at international level. Before committing to Morocco, he featured for several French youth teams, including the Under-21 side.

Last month, the talented midfielder officially switched his international allegiance to Morocco, and despite the disappointing end to the World Cup campaign, he insists he remains fully committed to the North African nation.
