Interim head coach of the Italy national team, Silvio Baldini, is preparing a true "revolution" in the squad’s camp ahead of the June friendlies.
Details: According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the coach has decided to move away from the traditional liberal approach, rolling out a package of tough disciplinary measures. Baldini is determined to stamp out any sense of complacency, demanding maximum focus on objectives and total commitment from his players.
The list of new rules is strict, even by modern professional football standards. Players are banned from staying in single rooms — instead, they will share to foster better communication, and the use of mobile phones inside the team camp is strictly prohibited.
Furthermore, the coaching staff is introducing daily fitness monitoring with mandatory weigh-ins, and punctuality at breakfast has become a non-negotiable requirement for every player.
Reminder: Legendary Italy defender Leonardo Bonucci stated that he would like to see Pep Guardiola as the national team’s head coach.
