Chelsea's striker carousel is spinning again, and this time Nico Jackson is the one being pushed off.

Details: Fabrizio Romano reports that key days are ahead for Nicolas Jackson, who is set to leave Chelsea, but only on a permanent deal with no loan option. Aston Villa are in daily contact with all parties involved, as Watkins could soon join Al Hilal, while Atletico Madrid remain keen and keep pushing.

The domino is clear: Villa need a replacement for Watkins, who refused to play at Brighton and is pushing for Saudi Arabia, and Emery knows Jackson perfectly from their time together at Villarreal. Chelsea value the striker at £65 million and refuse any loan formula, which complicates Atletico's approach, since Simeone's side would prefer exactly that structure.

Jackson, 25, spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich, winning the Bundesliga, after scoring 24 goals in 65 Premier League appearances for Chelsea, but the German club chose not to trigger their buy option. It's worth noting that the Senegal international, who has 37 caps, extended his contract until 2033, so the Blues hold all the cards in these negotiations.

Reminder: A heated Premier League battle! Three clubs enter the race for Chelsea striker Liam Delap.
