Pyramids FC have suffered significant blow in their ongoing battle to strip Al Ahly of the 2024–2025 Egyptian Premier League title, as the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) revealed its list of scheduled cases without including Pyramids' complaint.

No Court Date Yet for Pyramids vs Al Ahly

In a statement released via its official website, CAS confirmed a number of global disputes set to be heard before the end of June, but Pyramids’ case was not among them.

The club had filed an appeal challenging Al Ahly’s league triumph, citing the controversial handling of the postponed Cairo derby against Zamalek. They argue that Al Ahly should’ve been docked three points for not appearing at the match — a penalty that could’ve handed the title to Pyramids.

However, CAS indicated that the complaint is still under review, with no official hearing date scheduled.

CAS Acknowledges the Dispute, But Holds Off

CAS clarified it is studying the merits of the case, which involves not only Al Ahly and Pyramids, but also the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) and the Egyptian Clubs Association, in relation to their decision to award a 2-0 loss to Al Ahly without point deduction — citing “emergency circumstances.”

Pharco Case Scheduled, Pyramids Left Waiting

While Pyramids' appeal awaits further examination, CAS has confirmed a hearing for another Egyptian club, Pharco FC, on June 12. That case involves a financial dispute filed by former player Moses Toray, who claims unpaid wages after leaving the club.

Al Ahly Officially Crowned

Al Ahly were officially declared league champions for the 2024/25 season, finishing two points ahead of Pyramids, who maintain that the title is tainted due to what they view as an administrative injustice.

With CAS yet to set a hearing, Al Ahly’s title remains intact, and Pyramids’ legal hope now lies in a delayed verdict — if it comes at all.
