Nnadozie Earns WSL Save of the Month Nomination After CAF Awards Triumph Premium Times Nigeria

Super Falcons star Chiamaka Nnadozie has been shortlisted for the Barclays Women’s Super League Save of the Month for November, adding to a remarkable month in which she also claimed her third straight CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award.

Nnadozie, who joined Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer, was nominated for a superb first-half stop in the Seagulls’ 1-1 draw away to Liverpool. The 24-year-old showcased sharp reflexes to palm away a powerful long-range strike from Japan’s Fūka Nagano, a save that helped Brighton secure a crucial point.

She faces competition from Liverpool’s Faye Kirby, Aston Villa’s Sabrina D’Angelo, and Manchester City’s Ayaka Yamashita — a strong field reflecting the growing quality of the WSL.

Her nomination comes just days after lifting her latest CAF crown, following a year of standout performances for Nigeria. Nnadozie played a key role in the Super Falcons’ run at the last WAFCON in Morocco, where Nigeria sealed a record tenth continental title.

Now settling into life in England, Nnadozie will hope to add a WSL award to her achievements as she continues her impressive start with Brighton.
