Nnadozie Celebrates CAF Awards Hat-Trick After Another Standout Year
Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has reacted with joy and gratitude after winning her third consecutive CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award. The 24-year-old was honoured at the 2025 CAF Awards in Rabat, completing a remarkable hat-trick that further cements her reputation as the continent’s top shot-stopper.
Nnadozie, who claimed the award in 2023, 2024 and now 2025, shared her excitement on social media shortly after receiving the trophy. She wrote on X:
I am incredibly grateful and truly honored to receive this award… Being recognized for the 3rd time means a lot to me… My sincere appreciation goes to my coaches and teammates, and to all the amazing people who helped me.
Her latest win follows an exceptional year for both club and country. She beat Morocco’s Khadija Er-Rmichi and South Africa’s Andile Dlamini to the award after delivering outstanding performances throughout the season.
Nnadozie played a crucial role in Nigeria’s run to a record-extending 10th WAFCON title, keeping four clean sheets and producing several decisive saves. She was also named the tournament’s Best Goalkeeper, adding to her growing list of honours.
At club level, she helped Paris FC win the Coupe de France Féminine before securing a move to Brighton & Hove Albion in the Women’s Super League. Her impact in England was immediate, earning Player of the Match on her debut and nominations for WSL Save of the Month and PFA Fans’ Player of the Month. She is now also in contention for the 2025 Women’s Yachine Trophy.
