Nkunku and Tel swap: no progress yet between Chelsea and Bayern
Christopher Nkunku wants to leave Chelsea and is open to joining a new club, with Bayern Munich expressing interest. However, certain obstacles are complicating the deal.
Details: Chelsea is seeking to acquire Mathys Tel in exchange for Nkunku. However, the player himself is reluctant to leave Munich.
According to Fabrizio Romano, there has been no progress in negotiations so far. Chelsea is asking for around €70 million for Nkunku, while Bayern hopes to lower the fee through a swap deal.
Nkunku is interested in a move to Bayern and is awaiting further developments between the clubs and Mathys Tel.
In related news: Chelsea's defensive issues have forced the club to seek reinforcements. Instead of signing a new player, they opted for a different approach by recalling central defender Trevoh Chalobah from his loan at Crystal Palace, where he spent the first half of the season.
