Nigerian Midfielder Hamzat Ojediran Set for MLS Move as Colorado Rapids Agree Deal With RC Lens

Nigerian midfielder Hamzat Ojediran is on the verge of leaving French club RC Lens, with Major League Soccer side Colorado Rapids closing in on his signature.

According to reports, RC Lens and Colorado Rapids have reached an agreement over the transfer of the 22-year-old defensive midfielder. Negotiations between both clubs are said to be at an advanced stage, with only final formalities left to complete the move.

The reported transfer fee is just under €3 million, and the deal is expected to be finalized once Ojediran successfully passes his medical examination and secures the necessary visa to complete the switch to the United States.

Ojediran joined RC Lens from Hungarian side Debrecen in August 2024 on a four-year contract. However, despite high expectations following his arrival, the Nigerian midfielder has yet to make a competitive appearance for the “Blood and Gold” this season.
