"Nigeria will help us," Hugo Broos was optimistic because of the Eagles!

After their deserved victory over Lesotho by two goals to none in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Belgian coach Hugo Broos explained why he thinks the Nigerian national team will indirectly help them qualify for the 2026 World Cup in North America.
Details: Bafana Bafana managed to achieve a good victory against Lesotho on Friday evening by two goals to none at The New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane due to the outstanding performance provided by the Bafana players in full and this helped them to become the top of their group in the playoffs.
At the post-match press conference, the coach spoke to the press bluntly, telling them that the Super Eagles would have a key role by making Bafana Bafana qualify saying:
You know, I said a few days ago that there’s a team or a country in the group who can help us a lot and it is Nigeria, you saw that they beat Rwanda. They can’t afford to lose points. So, against every team, they will do everything to win, and for the moment, we are four points ahead of Nigeria. So, it’s up to us to do what we have to do, And when we do what we have to do, Nigeria will help us, you will see. The situation is good at the moment, it’s up to us to keep that situation and certainly do well against Benin on Tuesday in Ivory Coast.
