Nigeria U-20 Winger Suleiman Near RB Leipzig Switch

Sani Suleiman is on the verge of a move to the Bundesliga, with RB Leipzig closing in on the Nigeria U-20 winger. The 19-year-old has attracted interest from Brentford, Tottenham Hotspur, Rangers and Bayer Leverkusen, but Leipzig appear to have won the race.

According to Footy Africa, Leipzig have agreed a deal with AS Trenčín after personal terms were settled, and Suleiman is already in Germany to complete his medical. The transfer is expected to be worth about €6.5m.

Suleiman rose to prominence at Akwa United, winning NPFL Rookie of the Season, before joining Trenčín. If completed, he will become the second Nigerian to play for Leipzig after Ademola Lookman. An announcement is expected before the end of the week.
