Nigeria to Host 2026 CAF Awards and CAF General Assembly

Nigeria has been confirmed as the host nation for the 2026 CAF Awards and the 48th CAF Ordinary General Assembly.

President Bola Tinubu announced the development during a meeting with Patrice Motsepe at the ongoing Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi.

Several top football and government officials were also present at the meeting, including Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Ibrahim Musa Gusau, CAF President’s Special Adviser Amaju Pinnick, and CAF Acting General Secretary Samson Adamu.
