The Falconets gave their opponents no chance in their final group stage match in Poland.

Nigeria caused a sensation on Sunday 13 September at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, Poland 2026. The Nigerians needed a win for their third and final Group F fixture, and they delivered perfectly to secure their place in the next round.

Against New Caledonia, the Falconets were in fine form. They started the match strongly, scoring four goals in the first half. But Nigeria completely ran riot against New Caledonia in the second half.

Moses Aduku’s side stepped up a gear to score six goals in the second half, bringing their total to ten. A dazzling performance that sees Nigeria qualify for the last 16 of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, Poland 2026.

Following their opening defeat to Spain and a draw against China, the Falconets have thus made a perfect comeback in the tournament. Of the four African representatives, Nigeria is the only country to have progressed to the next round.
