Nigeria’s Super Falcons will step up preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations by competing in a four-nation West African tournament in Abidjan. The Nigeria Football Federation confirmed the team’s participation in the invitational competition organised by WAFU B.

The tournament will run from February 27 to March 7, 2026, in Cote d’Ivoire and will feature Nigeria, hosts Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana and Senegal, all qualified for WAFCON 2026. The event comes just days before the finals begin in Morocco on March 17.

NFF Director of Competitions Ruth David said the tournament will help teams “sharpen their match fitness and tactics…” ahead of Morocco. She added that Nigeria has confirmed participation, while head coach Justin Madugu’s squad list will be released soon.
