Nigeria Premier Football League: Kano Pillars Extend Usman Abdallah’s Suspension by Another Match
Kano Pillars have extended the suspension of their technical adviser, Usman Abdallah, by one more game.
Initially, Abdallah was suspended until after the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 27 fixture against Rangers United. However, he will now remain out until after their Matchday 28 encounter against Kwara United in Ilorin.
Reason for the Suspension
Abdallah’s suspension follows an incident during a home draw against El-Kanemi Warriors on Matchday 21, where he was allegedly involved in an altercation with Kano Pillars supporters.
“The suspension is intended to reduce tension among supporters,” Abdallah stated.
The coach confirmed the extension to Complete Sports, saying, “I’ve been told that the suspension has been extended by one more game, which is this weekend’s away match against Kwara United. This decision is aimed at further easing tensions among the supporters’ club.”
Abdallah is now expected to return to the dugout after the Kwara United match as Kano Pillars look to stabilize their campaign in the NPFL.
