Called up as a replacement following Yan Diomande’s withdrawal due to injury, the Villarreal forward has officially begun training with the Ivory Coast Elephants.
Nicolas Pépé has joined the Ivorian national team’s base camp at the London Heathrow Marriott. The Ivorian international arrived late on Tuesday 24 March. He has reunited with his teammates, with whom he will prepare for the two friendly matches against South Korea on 28 March and Scotland on 31 March.
This marks a return to the national team for Nicolas Pépé, who had been left out of the squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. In fine form with Villarreal in La Liga, the Ivorian striker is an attacking asset for Emerse Fae’s squad.
