Nico Williams changes his mind, wants to join Barcelona

Last summer, one of the most intriguing transfer sagas involved Spain international Nico Williams’ potential move from Athletic Bilbao to Barcelona. Although the deal didn’t materialize, the transfer remains a possibility.

Details: According to Toni Juanmartí, the Athletic winger has informed Barcelona of his desire to join the club next summer.

Williams’ contract with Athletic includes a €60 million release clause, an amount Barcelona is capable of paying.

Reminder: Earlier reports suggested that Barcelona had moved on from pursuing Williams but would reconsider if the player expressed a strong interest in joining the Blaugrana.
