Nice sporting director makes clear statement regarding Pogba

On December 1, French midfielder Paul Pogba officially left Juventus and became a free agent, opening the door for him to find a new club. However, one club that was considered a potential suitor has officially dropped out of the race for him.
Details: Nice’s sporting director, Florent Maurice, made it clear that the club does not have the means to bring Pogba to the French Riviera. After the French club’s owners became part-owners of Manchester United, Nice’s transfer capabilities significantly diminished.
Quote: “Honestly, I don’t think we have the possibility to bring Pogba to Nice right now. I think many clubs will want this deal, even though he hasn’t played for quite some time. There will be a lot of competition, and I don’t think we are capable of competing for a player of that caliber,” Maurice told L’Équipe.
Reminder: Recent rumors suggest that Pogba could end up in the Premier League or at American club Inter Miami.
