Nice are keen to bring back Elye Wahi
The Ivory Coast international striker is reportedly the French club’s priority during this summer’s transfer window.
Elye Wahi clearly impressed Nice’s management during his loan spell last season. On loan from Eintracht Frankfurt, the 23-year-old Ivorian striker made a real impact during his spell at the French club.
Elye Wahi scored seven goals, provided one assist and helped Nice avoid relegation from France’s Ligue 1. Although his loan spell ended at the end of June, Nice are keen to bring the Ivorian player back.
The French club are reportedly making the Ivorian international their top priority this summer. Nice’s management are said to have begun discussions with the representatives of the 23-year-old.
Nice would first like to reach a personal agreement with Elye Wahi before opening talks with Eintracht Frankfurt. As yet, no formal offer has been made.
But if Nice’s interest leads to a transfer, Elye Wahi will return to a league he knows well. He played for Montpellier, Lens and Marseille before joining Eintracht Frankfurt in 2024.
Elye Wahi is under contract with Eintracht Frankfurt until June 2030.
