NHL game postponed due to natural disaster in Los Angeles
On the night of Thursday, January 9, a regular season game was scheduled between the Los Angeles Kings and Calgary Flames. However, the match will not take place.
Details: The Kings officially announced the postponement of the game due to a natural disaster in Los Angeles. The city has been engulfed by a wildfire. A small bush fire turned into a raging inferno within hours on Tuesday, with flames rapidly advancing toward the Pacific Palisades area. The fire has already consumed over 11 square kilometers.
California authorities have declared a state of emergency in Los Angeles and advised residents in the western part of the city to evacuate.
Reminder: A man accused of murdering hockey player Johnny Gaudreau and his younger brother pleaded not guilty during a court hearing in New Jersey.
