Ángel Di María wins first trophy with boyhood club Rosario Central

This is Rosario's first league title since 1987.

Details: Today, it was officially confirmed by the Argentine Professional League committee that Ángel Di María's club, Rosario Central, have been crowned 2025 league champions.

This trophy is awarded based on the total points accumulated across the season's overall standings. The system determines the champion by summing points from both the Apertura and Clausura tournaments.

Rosario tallied 35 points in the Apertura and 31 in the Clausura, securing the championship title.

This is Rosario's first title since 1987, and for Di María, it marks his first-ever domestic title in Argentina.

The trophy was received on behalf of the club by president Gonzalo Belloso, vice president Carolina Cristinziano, head coach Ariel Holan, along with players Ángel Di María and Jorge Broun.
