Ángel Correa to continue his career with Mexican side Tigres


Ángel Correa has been a key player for Atlético Madrid since the 2015/16 season, but now his journey with the club has come to an end.
Details: According to journalist César Luis Merlo, the Argentine forward is set to join Mexican club Tigres. Negotiations began back in May, and now both parties have reached an agreement—Ángel Correa will sign a five-year contract.
Throughout his spell at Atlético Madrid, Correa made 468 appearances, scored 88 goals, and provided 65 assists. With Los Colchoneros, he won the Europa League, UEFA Super Cup, and La Liga.
Earlier, it was reported that Atlético Madrid entered the race for Nigeria's 27-year-old national team striker Lookman. Atalanta made it clear they would not release their star for less than €60 million.
Reminder: Atlético Madrid started their FIFA Club World Cup campaign with a 0-4 defeat to PSG. In the early hours of Friday, June 20, the Spanish side will face the Seattle Sounders.
