Former UFC champion Francis Ngannou commented on his loss to former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (38-3, 25 KOs).

"I stepped into the ring and didn't recognize myself. When he knocked me down in the first round, I fell and thought I slipped. I felt the punch, but he didn't drop me. At that moment, I was really confused. Anthony hit my arm before hitting my face, and I felt the impact, but it wasn't enough to put me on the floor.

The referee started the count, I got up, we finished the round, and I went to my corner. But I never really recovered from that. I don't remember how I stood up and came out for the second round.

I remember what happened before I sat in the corner. I remember sitting there, and my vision started to darken. My coach was talking to me, but his voice seemed distant. I don't know if it was exhaustion or something else, but something was definitely wrong," Ngannou said.

Ngannou was knocked out in the fight against Anthony Joshua. The referee stopped the fight in the second round after Francis fell from AJ's punch.

Ngannou had a decent first fight in the ring, knocking down WBC world champion Tyson Fury, but the Brit was awarded the victory by split decision.
